Aquant is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in our Newton, MA office. As a member of the Sales Engineering team, you will be a trusted advisor to our prospects, who can understand the challenges and pain point of the prospects, and help shape a solution that solves those challenges. As a technical voice for our prospects, you'll also liaise directly with our product and engineering teams to provide your unique perspective on how our clients are using the product and how our roadmap can evolve to meet the needs of the field.
A "day in the life" of a Sales Consultant at Aquant may include fielding a prospect's technical questions about and running demos of our products, iterating with the pre-sales data team to move forward our 7-day challenge process, collaborating with our sales team on prospect solutions design, or collaborating with our customer success team to ensure prospects have a seamless transition into implementation and partnership with us.
Consultative Selling. Engage prospects together with the sales team in a consultative sales process around Aquant to address the client's needs and challenges
Discovery. Work closely with prospects early in the sales process to gain a deep understanding of their business and technical requirements and propose how best to address them.
Technical Evaluations. Work with deep technical resources, sales team, and prospects to manage successful customer evaluations and proof of concept deployments.
Business Case Evaluation. Make sure the technical solution meets the client's needs and be involved in presenting the value and ROI while translating technical concepts to prospects
Demos of Product. Prepare and present tailored customer demonstrations to achieve business goals
Product Knowledge. Work closely with engineering and product teams to maintain a deep understanding of Aquant’s products and core technology.
Market Feedback. Continuously gather product and market feedback to guide new products.
Customer Success. Streamline knowledge transfer from the sales process into the implementation phase
5+ years of customer-facing experience as a senior level Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in an enterprise SaaS environment supporting large strategic customers
You are able to demo to win and quickly communicate complex ideas around a business case
You can clearly explain technical concepts, and are able to present and problem solve together with prospective clients
You have solid experience in enterprise software architecture. Bonus points if you have experience with content management systems; CRM and Customer Service Technology
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
You have a passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment
Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong presentation skills
You are comfortable writing code in Python
